The challenge

Some years, visitors book a bit late, or the marketing levers need to be pushed that little harder to get the tickets sold. The team at Great British Beer Festival were nervous about ticket sales for this great summer extravaganza of live beer. They asked if the Marketing Team at Olympia Events could provide a little extra help to promote the event and get more tickets booked. At this point it was four days to go before the festival opened and Olympia Events had already driven 804 visitor leads to the client.

Creating success

The Marketing Team at Olympia Events jumped to it to give a little boost to the free marketing support already provided to the client, to help ensure their event was a great success. By activating additional marketing channels and promoting a ticket discount across email, social media, local community connections and our website, we were able to reach even more people and get great engagement and interest.

The results

Within only a four days, the team had doubled the number of visitor leads that we’d provided the client. In the end we’d got in front of 92,000 sets of eyes, delivered 2,800 social media engagements which all meant we sent a total of 1,762 leads to our client. This helped them beat their visitor numbers from the previous year – up 12% for trade tickets on day one, and up around 10% for public tickets.

It’s great to know Olympia Events can access new audiences to promote our festival and help drive ticket sales
